Ironically, the game in which Cistercian “A” beat Seven Lakes “A” at TQBA Quad States was it’s only game below 20 ppb (17.50)
Bellarmine ran a tournament this weekend on T15 (stats will be posted in the BELLEROPHON tournament thread sometime this week). A bunch of divided MSJ and Bellarmine teams did well with decent PPG.
This happened. Stats (unfortunately, “playoff” and “prelim” stats are mixed due to Tanay not knowing how to do the split) are at http://results.scobo.net/SQBS.aspx?org=Bellarmine&id=2&page=standings . Note that MSJ split its A team members among teams “C” and “E” (with the “A” team comprising of B team members), while almost no Bellarmine A team members officially played in this tournament, although Phil Yakushev formed a scab team after another team dropped; thus, Bellarmine “A” could be comfortably called Bellarmine “B”, “B” “C”, and so on.
For your convenience, these are the teams from FRIGHT that had 16+ ppb, your seeming cutoff
Place – Team (PPG, 15pg, PPB)
1 – TJ A (569.5, 10.8, 25.17)
2 – Anselms A (461.5, 9.2, 23.04) – shorthanded
3 – DCC A (545.0, 10.1, 24.41)
4 – WJ (417.2, 6.8, 22.61)
5 – DCC B (445.0, 6.9, 22.50)
6 – TJ B (349.0, 7.9, 17.89)
Quince Orchard (355.0, 6.0, 20.09)
Caesar Rodney (321.2, 3.0, 16.85)
Georgetown Day (402.5, 5.7, 22.48) – shorthanded
Marshall (249.5, 4.1, 18.29)
Langley (192.8, 2.4, 16.88)
Whitman (234.0, 2.4, 17.90)
I may be confused, but I thought FRIGHT was played on set #16, at least that’s what it said on the hsquizbowl forum.
No, it was 15.
We played FRIGHT on set 15. In fact, according to Charlie Dees, HSAPQ 16 does not even exist yet.
Note that Loyola was, like Stevenson, missing one of its top two contributors.
MSJ E?
MSJ, as it often does, split up its teams at BELLEROPHON. Roughly:
“E”= A-
“C”= B+
“A”= C
An extremely minor point, but for a few of the rounds at the Quad States Challenge in Texas, the opponent forfeited, so though the records for teams like Seven Lakes A and Cistercian A may have been 10-1, they each only played 10 games. To cut to the chase, the 15pg seem to have been calculated for those teams by taking the total 15s and dividing by 11 rather than 10 as it should be.
Adjusted:
Seven Lakes A had 9.5 15pg and Cistercian had 7.0 15pg.
N.B.: Seven Lakes B and St. Marks played a full eleven games, so their stats should be correct as posted.
