Here are the final rankings for the 2016-17 quiz bowl season. 30 states, as well as Canada and Singapore, are represented, with Oklahoma and China narrowly missing out on having competitors in the top 250.

On paper, DCC A would appear to be the clear favorite this year, but it of course comes down to the actual performances at the national championships to determine who will win those. And there’s a very deep bench of teams able to take them on – any of the top 10 winning a national wouldn’t surprise me, and anyone in the top 30 pulling off key victories could turn HSNCT or NSC’s results on their ear.
