Here’s our first regular season ranking for the 2014-15 high school quiz bowl season. Undoubtedly, things will be changing a lot and I’m eagerly looking forward to more information (specifically, about seven months of data) to accurately rank teams.
Note that the italicized numbers indicated pre-season projected aPPB; these values don’t have a real correlation to “actual” aPPBs that will be generated through the 2014-15 season.

The 17.32 for Lexington was from our B team at FaCT.
Never mind that I missed the projected Ppb thing.
Were the UNC Tar Heel Cup stats included in this ranking?
No, I think I missed those. They’ll be in the next update.
Thank you again for this great site of yours and all you do for quiz. I note that starting from yesterday to this coming weekend there are 13 tournaments that will use NAQT “IS” questions, including our first tournament of the year the Concordia Shanghai (China) Invitational. Hopefully at least two of the teams from that tournament will make the bright lights of the Fred Morlan top 100.
For Bethlehem, I noticed you posted 2 scores. 24.13 ( from PHSAT) and 20.14. So far this year we’ve only played at PHSAT. Where does the 20.14 score come from? Just curious….
Also, We will be at Brainbusters Fall in Ithaca, but Ben Weinstein will not be there…
The 20.14 is italicized, and as Fred says: “Note that the italicized numbers indicated pre-season projected aPPB”. As to roster adjustments, I think he’s said in the past that it’s essentially impossible for him to even try to account for who’s not at what tournament, and that your best performance matters much more than a weaker performance.
One more question… Did you make adjustments for tournament set difficulty?
he’s using the adjustments from last year for now
